Design thinking in action

As part of Catalyst Sector Challenges, teams from nonprofits in Early Years, Financial Wellbeing, Mental Health and Sexual Abuse/Domestic Violence have been using technology to solve problems emerging from the pandemic. These modules will give you insights into how these organisations have sought to tackle these challenges.

Modules

The course is broken down into three video modules. Each module is 45 mins long and is a recording of a previous live webinar.

1. STRENGTHENING APPROACHES TO SOCIAL PRESCRIBING

This session provides an overview of the Catalyst Sector Challenge project that intended to strengthen the tech and team approach to social prescribing. Those from Lightful, Bexley Voluntary Service Council, Chatty Cafe and Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind will share their learning journey and insights they’ve gathered along the way.

2. CREATING SUPPORTIVE ONLINE ENVIRONMENTS FOR REMOTE SUPPORT WORKERS

This session provides an overview of the Catalyst Sector Challenge project that intended to use technology to create supportive online environments for teams of remote support workers. Those from Tectonic, Children NE, Every-one, Peabody, Samaritans, TogetherCo, Trustlinks will share their learning journey and insights they’ve gathered on the way.

3. DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE APPROACHES TO ONLINE COUNSELLING FOR SURVIVORS

This session provides an overview of the Catalyst Sector Challenge project that intended to develop effective approaches to online counselling for survivors. Those from Deepr, Neontribe, ProMo Cymru, Brown’s Community Services, Circles South East, Imara, Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid and SAFE! will share their learning journeys and insights they’ve gathered on the way.
